Ok, so I publicly admit it. I cross stitch on the train. I have no shame in pulling out my little bag of goodies:
and stitching away while my train takes its time trundling away into my station (which, might I add, is a good 40mins away from home - a perfect amount of time to study stitch). Sure I get heaps of strange looks, but I don't really care, it's something constructive (and I don't feel the need to spread out, like I do when I study), and something to kill time when I'm on a train a few days a week. When I realised that this would be a good idea, I had to pick a specialised "train project" - something small and out of the way that I could shove in any bag and work on. So I remembered about the Space Invaders/HG Wells pattern from SpriteStitch which I found ages ago; it's one colour and small, so it fit the bill perfectly. Here it is, in its (I should start timing it, how many train trips it took me to finish...) several trip (I stitch slowly. Ssh...) completed glory:
Completed, yes, but still unwashed and unframed... I also just realised that I have no idea what I plan to do with it... Genius, I know.
