I've had this bag fully made for several months now, but I keep looking at it going "have I blogged about this yet? Don't think so, I'll do it later. Of course, later now means "when I'm procrastinating reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (by none other then Roald Dahl) for the billionth time for Uni"...
I'm serious too, I have to read it for assessment (analysing Children's Literature for the win! Occasionally for the lose, but whatever). Moving on...
So a few months ago now, my Grandma came over to start to teach me how to sew. She's a fantastic sewer and machine embroiderer, so I was so happy for the help! What we made was a messenger bag, because I wanted to learn how to do the lining (because I failed so badly the last time...). I did the sewing itself, she did the helping/ assisting, which was great, because my sewing skills are... average at best.
Why the bright pink bow? Well, the plain yellow bag was kind of really boring, so I decided to use the pink bow because... it was bright and the blue looked strange. It's one hell of a sturdy bag, but the last time I used it, one of the strap's seams were splitting...
So until next time, (which shall be soon I hope, have a few ideas on the way...)
