Over Christmas, my boyfriend went on a holiday to America with his family. While there, he saw something on the menu in some restaurant which seemed interesting to him - a coke cake. Coke, here being Coca-cola, not the drug, just to be clear. So since he got back, he's been asking me to make one. I recently got super bored and made a coke cake.
To be completely honest, this isn't a cake-cake, it's a dessert cake. That probably makes no sense. To explain - it's really moist and doesn't have the texture of any cake I've ever made. And in all honesty, I didn't even like it. Not sure what there was about it, but without icecream, this cake was bleh. But with icecream, this cake was amazing.
It was also the weirdest batter I've ever made - it wasn't a normal cake batter - I poured a liquid into my springform pan. So I lined said springform pan with baking paper, put the pan on a tray and hoped for the best.
I got my recipe from here!
Until next time,
