These drawers have been floating around my house for years. Yeah, I wish I was kidding, too. When we moved house, I commandeered two of them for fabric storage.
As you can see, they aren't the prettiest drawers ever.
They did have some cool handles though, which was a bonus. Since they weren't an overly pretty colour, I decided to replace those as well. My first idea was to paint stripes on the drawers, (pink and green, of course) but when I went to Bunnings to grab my materials, I found this awesome contact stuff. It was awesome, and made my idea so much easier.
The spray paint was Dad's idea, and it really was a fabulous one, same for the random pot of purple paint (we bought it about 2 years ago to cover up some paint chips and never used the rest of it).
This, is probably one of my favorite projects up until now. Aside from the point I had to deal with this all day.
Yeah, got annoying pretty quickly.
Tada! The contact stuff was super easy to use, and looks seriously adorable.
Not to mention that the contact tops are super easy to clean. I'm loving the shiny handles too, and I was even considering using white handles instead, but I'm so glad I went with the silver ones.
Until next time,
