Red velvet cupcakes are awesome. They are, without doubt, in my top 5 of favorite sweet things (my Mum's banana bread, chocolate brownies and choc chip cookies would be 4, think the last one changes depending on the day, but this is beside the point). Since I pinned a red velvet brownie recipe, I figured it was about time that I actually made it.
Also because I have a tendency to pin things and not actually make them. Is that just me?
These. Are. Amazingly. Delicious. Unlike the cupcakes, which, in my opinion require the cream cheese frosting to add deliciousness, these brownies are perfect without frosting. The outside of these are just that little bit crunchy, too. I don't feel bad about eating another one while writing this post, at all.
So. Good.
To explain the title, I'd painted my nails right before I started baking. Turns out, that was a terrible idea. However, a ruined manicure because of these brownies is totally worth it.
Until next time (by the next post I'm going to safely assume that there will not be any brownies left),
