Ok, I'll admit it - up until a few hours ago, I didn't own a circle scarf. Being a Brisbane-ite, I never thought it got cold enough in winter to justify the purchase of one such scarf. Needless to say, when I saw this pin I thought it'd be great for a summer scarf, especially because I can't really wear necklaces in summer (my neck turns green...)
It was entirely convenient that I happened to have some cute floral fabric sitting around (which has been sitting around for 5-10 years, no joke) which was perfect. It's a cotton with a bit of stretch, no idea what it actually is though.
By the way, the person who designed the pattern really was right - it does take about 5 minutes to make. Even if you're a beginner sewer, this was amazingly simple, and one pin I'll gladly make again!
