Surprisingly Delicious

If there's one thing I'm pretty sure about, it's that that I think that this was one of my very first pins. Which I only made today.

After all, with a name like "Lemonade cupcakes with Raspberry Frosting", how could I not? I'd never heard of lemon and raspberry as a combination before (is it a common one?) so of course (in accordance to my new years resolution to try new things) I had to try it.

It was... surprisingly tasty but ultimately unimpressive as a combination. Don't get me wrong, I loved the cupcake itself, I loved the frosting (so. very. much.) but it wasn't as delicious as I'd obviously ramped it up to be. The rest of my family loves them so very much though. Turns out I'd stumbled upon my mum's favorite cake type...

All in all, I'd probably make this recipe again but probably not as a combination.
