Hey Guys!
By now you've probably heard about Google Reader shutting down in July, so I just wanted to make a quick note to say that you should totally follow me by a different method by then =P I currently read all my blogs through Bloglovin', so I personally recommend that one! Oh, and if you're still following Coffee and Craft via some method, you can remove it out of your sub box because I'm definitely not posting there again. Now onto the actual post!
Ahh, I love having events to bake for. Also Tuesdays. Tuesdays are awesome at work. Recently, my boss got engaged, one of my co-workers had a birthday over the weekend and it's the last week of term. Of course I had to bake a fancy (...it's not that fancy) cake to mark the occasions.
Although, for a group of musicians we kind of sucked at singing "happy birthday"... Seriously though, the cake was delicious. I used a chocolate cake recipe ("Mum Goodwin's Chocolate Cake") from Julie Goodwin's cookbook, but thanks to the fact I didn't use a big enough cake pan it didn't cook in the middle. And sank rather impressively.
So I filled it with Easter Eggs and frozen raspberries and called it a success.
Seriously though, make sure you use the right pan size.
What do you do if/when something you've baked collapses / doesn't live up to expectations?
See you Friday!
