This was the very first bag pattern I made for uni, back in '09. So long ago... Back then I wasn't quite sure how to do a proper lining, so it ... let's go with "looked kinda bad". Not to mention the multitude of coffee stains that seemed to be sitting on the bottom. White fabric for lining? Yeah, no idea what I was thinking. So it sat in my "do this" draw until a few weeks ago.
Cut to a few weeks ago and I finally cut the pattern, overlocked (my overlocker promptly broke again, stupid thing) and wacked this thing together. I got the lining right side out this time! Booyah.
I remember when I first wanted this bag- I wanted to fill the front with all sorts of cute buttons and badges I found. Looks like there's plenty of room to continue doing that in the future!
Bag Stats:
Pattern: Butterick B4147
Fabric: lining - stash. outer - no idea.
Buttons: Spotlight?
Hopefully I continue the motivation to keep working through my half finished project draw - loads more to come (that thing's overflowing).
See you next time!
